Who are we?
What do we offer?
Rebecca and Andy have created Coastal Theatre Company with a clear vision. To provide a structured, professional standard of training in acting, singing and
performance within a supportive and inspiring environment. The weekly programme will offer a clear pathway from rehearsal room to stage. Sessions will focus on developing strong performance technique, confidence and discipline, culminating in a final performance featuring a popular musical theatre repertoire
What sets Coastal Theatre Company apart is its commitment to quality and detail. With smaller group sizes, focused coaching, and plans to incorporate live musicians into performances, students will experience a rehearsal process that reflects professional theatre standards.
What are the fringe benefits?
Rebecca and Andy believe that the skills acquired through this structured programme extend far beyond the rehearsal room and stage. Learning to co-operate with others, work to deadlines, keep motivated and committed, be adaptable and resilient and self-disciplined are just a handful of life-skills acquired through training in performing arts. Not only that, but self-expression through the artistry of performance significantly improves a person’s sense of wellbeing and mental resilience.
“We wanted to create something that feels genuinely aspirational,” said the founders. “A place where young performers are challenged, supported, and inspired to reach a higher standard, while still enjoying the process and building confidence.”
Coastal Theatre Company is also committed to being an active and positive part of the local arts community. While offering a distinct training model, the organisation welcomes opportunities to collaborate with other schools, practitioners, and venues to support and grow theatre opportunities for young people in the area.
